Day 1: DEPART THE UNITED STATES
Depart your hometown and take an overnight flight across the Atlantic. Enjoy in-flight entertainment and meal service as you travel to start your fam trip.
Day 2: DUBLIN ARRIVAL
Land at Dublin Airport complete customs and immigration formalities before meeting your CIE Tours driver/guide who will welcome you to Ireland. Next set off with a local guide who will show you around Dublin. The city has been molded through the centuries with many architectural styles reflecting the economic political and artistic influences. Then tour Guinness Storehouse to see exhibits on how this world famous stout was first created and why it is so popular today. Finish your visit in the roof-top bar where you can sample a draft of Guinness. Transfer to your nearby hotel check in and settle into you room.
Tonight join your fellow travelers for a welcome drink at hotel before traveling to Merry Ploughboy Pub for dinner followed by a lively show.
Day 3: JERPOINT FARM & WATERFORD
Leaving Dublin travel to Thomastown and stop to visit Jerpoint Farm. During your visit you will have the opportunity to experience farm life and see some of the worlds smartest sheepdogs working in their natural environment. After your visit check into your Waterford hotel for dinner and your overnight stay.
After dinner take a short walking tour through a section of Waterford. Walk along Merchants Quay where ships docked in former times and see the Clock Tower. Pass Reginalds Tower City Hall Theatre Royal and many other places.
Day 4: KINSALE WALK & BLARNEY CASTLE
Today add a bit of sparkle to your day by touring the House of Waterford Crystal in the Medieval city of Waterford. While here learn about glass blowing cutting and see one-of-a-kind masterpieces. Next take a brief walking tour with a local guide to learn the history of Kinsale. The town has been a favorite for artists due to its steep narrow streets quirky shopfronts and many fine Georgian houses. From Kinsale motor a short distance to Blarney where you can climb the battlements of Blarney Castle and kiss the famous Stone of Eloquence. Then journey through the rugged countryside to Killarney. Upon arrival check into your hotel and settle into you room before an independent dinner.
Day 5: RING OF KERRY & SKELLIG EXPERIENCE
Set off to explore the Ring of Kerry which consist of over a 100 miles of marvelous scenery. See some of Irelands highest peaks on one side of the road and a coastline scattered with golden beaches and rocky headlands on the other. There will also be plenty of stops to take-in the scenery and to snap photos. Also cross to Valencia Island by bridge to visit the Skellig Experience which describes the life of early monks who led austere lives on the nearby islands. Then enjoy lunch at a local venue before heading back to your hotel. Tonight join your fellow travelers for a get-together drink and a presentation by CIE tours followed by a fine hotel dinner.
Day 6: ENNIS WALK & MEDIEVAL BANQUET
Depart Killarney and head to the village of Adare famous for its attractive main street of thatched houses and colorful gardens. Stroll through the village and take some photos. Continue on to embark on a walking tour of Ennis to see the principal sights and learn some of the towns vibrant history. The town dates back to the 11th century and is full of character with its narrow streetscapes quaint shops monuments and markets which give the town a medieval feeling. After your leisurely walk check into your nearby hotel for your overnight stay. You may wish to freshen up before tonights festivities.
This evening join in the fun and feasting at Bunratty Castle. Your medieval-style banquet is served in the Great Hall of the 15th century castle.
Day 7: CLIFFS OF MOHER
Today drive along the coast of scenic County Clare to visit the Cliffs of Moher one of Irelands most beloved natural landmarks. See magical vistas overlooking the shimmering Atlantic Ocean along with Irelands Western coastline. Then motor a short distance to visit St. Tola Farm one of the many stops on the Burren Food Trail and a producer of handmade goat cheese. St. Tolas award-winning cheeses are sure to please even the most discerning palate. Enjoy a chance to sample the cheeses accompanied with wine before heading back to Ennis. If time permits you might like to relax in your room before dinner with your group.
Day 8: TULLAMORE DISTILLERY
Depart Ennis and join a local guide for a gentle walking tour of Galway. See the medieval city walls Lynchs Castle and the narrow streets. Next journey into County Offaly to visit Tullamore Dew Distillery. While here learn about the areas history of canals merchant classes and the legendary Tullamore Dew Irish whiskey. After a taste of the finished product travel to the bustling city of Dublin and check into your hotel. The remainder of the afternoon is at leisure.
In the evening take part in a hands-on cooking demonstration at Cooks Academy where students can perfect their culinary skills. Also enjoy a flavorful meal that you will have helped prepare.
Day 9: RETURN TO THE UNITED STATES
Transfer to Dublin Airport and check in for your flight. You may do some last minute shopping at the duty free stores before flying back to the United States.
