Day 1: DEPART THE UNITED STATES
Depart your hometown and take an overnight flight across the Atlantic Enjoy in-flight entertainment and meal service as you travel to start your vacation
Day 2: DUBLIN ARRIVAL
After landing at Dublin Airport complete customs and immigration formalities At 9am join your group in the Arrivals Hall before meeting your CIE Tours driver/guide and boarding your luxury motorcoach Next stop to have breakfast with your group at Newbridge Silverware which has been designing and producing quality jewellery homeware and giftware products for over 80 years Continue your journey into Kinsale check into your hotel and settle into your room In the evening join your fellow travelers for a welcome dinner in the hotel restaurant
Day 3: COBH HERITAGE CENTER
This morning drive into Cobh to visit the Cobh Heritage Center which depicts the varied history of emigration from Ireland and many European countries to the United States over the past 150 years Cobh was the last port of call for the Titanic and many liners that carried emigrants to the New World Then journey into Midleton and stop to visit the Midleton Distillery Experience Discover how whiskey is made as you walk through the old buildings At the end of your tour enjoy a sample of the finished product Head back to your hotel in Kinsale in time to meet your group in the hotel restaurant for dinner
Day 4: KINSALE SIGHTSEEING
Today visit the Garden of Remembrance to honor the many firemen who lost their lives during 9/11 Then set off on a brief walking tour with a local guide to learn the history of Kinsale The town has been a favorite for artists due to its steep narrow streets quirky shopfronts and many fine Georgian houses Stop to visit Tap Tavern which has been owned by the same family since 1886 Here you might like to enjoy an independent drink with your group Head back your nearby hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure Kinsale is dubbed the Gourmet Capital of Ireland so there are many wonderful places to choose from to dine this evening
Day 5: FOYNES FLYING BOAT MUSEUM
Leaving Kinsale drive into Foynes to visit the Flying Boat Museum which recalls the early days of air travel during the 1930s and early 1940s Irish coffee was first created here to warm frozen weary travelers and you will learn how to make a perfect one and then drink it Then journey into Blarney where you can climb the battlements of Blarney Castle and kiss the famous Stone of Eloquence Continue your travel into Adare famous for its attractive main street of thatched houses and colorful gardens Upon arrival check into your hotel settle into your room and enjoy some free time before dining in the hotel restaurant with your group
Day 6: CLIFFS OF MOHER
After breakfast drive along the coast of scenic County Clare to visit the Cliffs of Moher one of Irelands most beloved natural landmarks See magical vistas overlooking the shimmering Atlantic Ocean along with Irelands Western coastline Next travel to visit the Caherconnell Farm where you will have the opportunity to experience farm life and see sheepdogs working in their natural environment Following journey through the Burren an area of rocky limestone hills where several unique flowers thrive This region also contains many dolmens prehistoric monuments formed by large limestone slabs Continue into Galway and join a local guide for a gentle walking tour of the city See the medieval city walls Lynchs Castle and the narrow streets Transfer to your nearby hotel check in and settle into your room In the evening meet your group in the hotel restaurant for a delicious meal
Day 7: KYLEMORE ABBEY
This morning travel to visit Kylemore Abbey for a tour of the elegant mansion and church set beside a tranquil lake Learn of the tales of tragedy romance and royal visits Also walk through the magical Victorian walled garden Head back into Galway and stop at Charlie Byrnes Bookshop to enjoy a book signing by Mike as arranged independently Return to your nearby hotel and spend the remainder of the day free to sightsee shop and dine on your own
Day 8: GALWAY TO DUBLIN
Today head to the Ballyglunin Railway Station which was built in 1860 and was featured in the award- winning film The Quiet Man Here set off on an individually arranged rail ride and admire the changing scenery as you travel across the lush middle of the country and on to urban Dublin Upon arrival transfer to your hotel check in and spend some time at leisure before tonights festivities
This evening head to Taylors Three Rock for quality Irish food that is accompanied with lively music and dance
Day 9: HOP ON HOP OFF DUBLIN
Spend the morning and afternoon at leisure in Dublin where you can choose from a wide variety of pursuits Use your Hop on Hop off pass to visit a number of places Also using your voucher visit Guinness Storehouse to see exhibits on how this world-famous stout was first created and why it is so popular today Finish your visit in the roof-top bar where you can sample a draft of Guinness Following you might like to grab a bite to eat on your own before tonights festivities
After an independent dinner join your fellow travelers for Pub crawl to experience true Irish craic (good fun) as arranged by your group leader Enjoy camaraderie and good times while you hear some traditional Irish music
Day 10: RETURN TO THE UNITED STATES
All too soon your vacation has come to its final day Transfer to Dublin Airport in good time to check in for your flight You may do some last-minute shopping at the duty-free stores before boarding your aircraft and flying back to the United States
