Day 1: DEPART THE UNITED STATES
Depart your hometown and take an overnight flight across the Atlantic Enjoy in-flight entertainment and meal service as you travel to start your vacation
Day 2: DUBLIN ARRIVAL
After landing at Dublin Airport complete customs and immigration formalities Your CIE Tours driver/guide will welcome you to Ireland and escort you and your luggage to the coach Next set off with a local guide who will show you around Dublin The city has been molded through the centuries by economic political and artistic influences that have shaped its architecture Stop to visit Trinity College to see the Book of Kells an 8th century illuminated manuscript of the gospels and the Old Library Then continue on to tour Guinness Storehouse to see exhibits on how this world-famous stout was first created and why it is so popular today Finish your visit in the roof-top bar where you can sample a draft of Guinness Motor a short distance to your hotel check in and spend the balance of the day free for individual pursuits and dining
Day 3: DUBLIN TO BELFAST
Leaving Dublin travel into Dundalk to enjoy some free time to explore around the charming town known for its rich history and beautiful scenery Continue your journey into Belfast and set off on a guided tour to see the Albert Memorial the Opera House and Crown Liquor Saloon You might also view Linen Hall Library Belfast waterfront and the imposing City Hall which was completed in 1906 Stop to visit Titanic Belfast to learn about the evolution of the Titanic from concept until her ill-fated end in 1912 Transfer to your nearby hotel check in and settle into your room In the evening you might like to dine in one of the many traditional or modern dinner venues scattered around the city
Day 4: NINE GLENS OF ANTRIM
Departing Belfast drive along the coast to experience one of Irelands popular scenic routes Here youll see the Nine Glens of Antrim which offer wonderful views of mountains valleys and coastline Stop to visit the Giants Causeway an impressive area of hexagonal columns formed over 60 million years ago by cooling lava which has given rise to many legends Continue your journey into Omagh check into your hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure Tonight you might like to sample the fine local cuisine by dining at a nearby venue
Day 5: DUNMORE CHAPEL AND CEMETERY
Today enjoy the morning at leisure to meet with family around County Tyrone known for its rich history and stunning natural beauty In the afternoon journey into Dunmore to visit Dunmore Chapel and Cemetery which serves as a place of remembrance and worship for local families Later in the afternoon continue your drive into Galway check into your hotel and spend the balance of the day at leisure This evening you may like to dine in one of the many restaurants or pubs that Galway has to offer
Day 6: ARAN ISLANDS & INIS OIRR
After breakfast set off on a short ferry ride to Inis Oirr the smallest of the three Aran Islands These rocky islands are renowned for the hardy islanders who maintained traditional fishing and farming Here the Irish language is still spoken widely Have a look around the area before heading back into Galway Return to your hotel for a free evening
Day 7: BURREN SIGHTSEEING
Leaving Galway pass through the Burren an area of rocky limestone hills where several unique flowers thrive This region also contains many dolmens prehistoric monuments formed by large limestone slabs Continue your drive along the coast of scenic County Clare to visit the Cliffs of Moher one of Irelands most beloved natural landmarks See magical vistas overlooking the shimmering Atlantic Ocean along with Irelands Western coastline After your visit set off on a short ferry ride across the River Shannon Estuary before traveling into Killarney where you will check into your hotel for your stay Tonight you might like to grab an independent bite to eat in one of the many dinner venues located within the charming town
Day 8: DINGLE PENINSULA DRIVE
This morning discover the beauties of the Dingle Peninsula once described by the National Geographic Traveler as the most beautiful place on earth Drive along the south shore of the peninsula for plenty of vistas of heathery mountains sandy stretches of beach stunning green landscapes and rocky headlands Pause at strategic locations to admire the views and take photos Continue on to Slea Head at the western tip of the peninsula This excursion will give you excellent views of mountains and coastline and looking over to the Iveragh Peninsula Then drive into Dingle town and stop to enjoy some free time to explore the area on your own Dingle is an area situated below Slievanea Mountain and faces comfortably onto the sheltered harbor As a market town and fishing port Dingle has long been well supplied with pubs and opportunities to hear traditional Irish music Return to your hotel in Killarney and enjoy the remainder of the day free for independent exploring and dining
Day 9: BLARNEY CASTLE
Departing Killarney drive to Blarney where you can climb the battlements of Blarney Castle and kiss the famous Stone of Eloquence Then visit the Blarney Woollen Mills which has an excellent range of Irish products You will also have time to browse around the village charmingly set around a large village green Continue your journey into Dublin check into your hotel and settle into your room Tonight you may like to sit down at a quaint restaurant or lively pub for an independent dinner
Day 10: RETURN TO THE UNITED STATES
All too soon your vacation has come to its final day Transfer to Dublin Airport in good time to check in for your flight You may do some last-minute shopping at the duty-free stores before boarding your aircraft and flying back to the United States
