For those who wish to see it all, this vacation is unforgettable. You start in Lisbon with a welcome dinner and sightseeing including Jeronimos Monastery, then travel south and visit a tile workshop in Azeitao and continue to Seville, Spain, where sightseeing includes a visit to the Alcazar. Sail by ferry across the Strait of Gibraltar and overnight in Rabat, Morocco. Admire the Royal Palace and visit the Mohammed V Mausoleum, plus the Roman relics of Chellah, before continuing to exotic Casablanca, where an exclusive lunch at Rick’s Café Américain, famous from the movie Casablanca, has been arranged for you. In Marrakesh, enjoy sightseeing with visits to Bahia Palace and the Saadian Tombs (if closed, visit Badia Palace instead). In Ouarzazate, visit Kasbah Taourirt and enjoy a drink at sunset. Another highlight awaits you in Erfoud, in the heart of the Sahara: an exciting four-wheel drive through the sand dunes. Also visit Fez and Tangier, before sailing across the Strait to the Bay of Algeciras. A whole day at leisure on the Costa del Sol allows you to join an optional excursion to the Rock of Gibraltar before continuing to Granada, where guided sightseeing includes visits to the Alhambra complex and the Water Gardens of the Generalife, and where a special dinner at a local restaurant with local specialties awaits you. Also stop in Toledo, to see one of El Greco’s masterpieces in the Santo Tomé Church, on your way to Madrid. Here, guided sightseeing features a visit to the famous Prado Museum, and a special paella dinner has been prepared for your farewell evening. Transfer to Barcelona by high-speed AVE train; enjoy three nights and guided sightseeing with visits to Casa Batlló and Gaudi’s masterpiece, the Sagrada Familia Basilica. All services, including Local Host assistance, are provided by Monograms.
